Review on πŸ‘œ Solo New York Top-Notch Briefcase by Dre Bhatt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality bag with a significant design flaw.

In general, the bag is not bad, but there are some flaws. Firstly, the finish and quality of the materials that make up the bag are excellent for the price. The stitching, laptop pads, zippers, and handles are solid and well-made. The canvas material used is thicker than some I've seen in other bags sold in stores for around the same price. It appears to have some level of water and cut resistance, although I certainly wouldn't recommend soaking it in water or forcibly cutting it with a utility knife. It's also minimalist and stylish, which I like. The bag is thinner than I would have liked to use as a main bag for work. For a case, this is decent as it fits my early 2015 13-inch Macbook Pro, charger, mouse and a few other flat accessories. You can also use a thinner book (for text/notes). Anything thicker, like a glasses case or even a thin sweater, and things get tight, which can make this a poor choice for commuting. There just isn't much flex/stretch around the pockets unless , you don't mind to make your stuff crumpled. I've been working on it, the main reason I took off a star is because the shoulder strap isn't detachable. You can shorten it and hide it in the bottom of the bag, but there's no physical way to detach it when it's not needed. To me, this makes short handles almost useless. In the end I returned this item and purchased SOLO UBN310 Hybrid Briefcase Backpack for 15.6" Laptop - Grey; at the same price, but slightly larger and more flexible. The final downside for me was the non-removable shoulder straps, but for everything else this is a quality bag with a major design flaw in my opinion.
