I purchased this valve kit. I needed valves to regulate the pressure in a homemade CO2 reactor for a freshwater aquarium. I had a similar plastic air valve that worked great in this application. However, the valves in this kit are not of the same quality. They cannot withstand air pressure without leaking. Keep in mind that homemade CO2 reactors don't generate much pressure. However, these valves could not handle it. As soon as I connected one of these, CO2 and water immediately spurted out of the valve handle. If you just want to control the amount of bubbles the air pump produces, they should work just fine.
