I bought this mainly to protect our couch from the claws of two very fierce young large breed dogs who like to use the couch to do laps like a velodrome at full speed. I was also looking for something that would help minimize dog hair on a woven fabric sofa in a material that washes well and doesn't require much effort to remove the fur. Top marks in all these categories. The fabric is very similar to the light duvet I've used before. Seems to be very durable. The large size is perfect for my 3 pillow sofa (my sofa is 67 inches between the armrests). I don't think he moves that much, especially considering what the couch goes through on a daily basis. I think the strap around the back of the sofa helps a lot to keep the cover in place. The wide elastic strap fits snugly around our loose back cushions, which are quite thick. I see where he can move a little on the leather sofa. The cover shape is great; I really like the armrest extensions. The size also fits our sofa; everything I want is covered (dogs and our cat like to sleep on the back cushions too). Overall it looks very neat and tidy, with a nice fit that doesn't happen when you're just throwing a blanket over a sofa. I bought a brown plaid and am so pleased with it that I'm buying another one for our other sofa.
