To answer the main question, yes the privacy filter works fine in my opinion. Before buying this screen protector, I knew that there is no such thing as perfect privacy protection. Depending on the ambient light and the angle of incidence, parts of the screen can still be seen up to an angle of 30 degrees, albeit rather illegibly. You can see from the images taken after installing the protection on my Surface Pro 7. However, I am very happy with it. Screen clarity was not compromised and my stylus/fingers still elicited a flawless response from the operating system and various software. Best of all, the installation was very easy due to the good quality of the product. No Hell Bubbles!
