They are advertised as mop and broom handles. What I got were Mop and Groom Grippers. I can attest to the ease of use and grip strength in terms of grabbing and holding a mop and stepladder. Unfortunately, I can't test the ability to grab suitors. I don't have a fiancé to check this out. I think they might be a bit small to keep the suitors I know. What I do know: The grips are available in a set of 4 at a very reasonable price. The handles consist of two parts: the adhesive part and the grip part. They connect easily. The glue is strong! The gripping mechanism is strong! (Not big enough to grab the groom!) Easy to place and stick. What I don't know: will the glue damage the paint on the wall if I try to remove it? How long will they last. I use two to hold the step stool against the wall and the other two for the mop. The handles have heavy ribs to keep the grip in place. The ladder is held off the ground, but the handles are placed so that the ladder can actually rest on the ground. The handles are firm, so the ladder does not slip. Two are attached to a painted wall. I don't know if trying to remove them will damage the paintwork. Two more are attached to my stacked washer and dryer. wall or dryer. This way I got the "perfect" position of the handles. I would recommend them with the caveat that they can repaint the wall once it's attached to it. For me it is no small thing!
