On many 2002 and later Dodge Ram trucks, the light and chime will illuminate occasionally to alert you of a blown bulb. But then you will find that all the lights are on normally. Often this problem is due to the deformation of the plastic base on the rear light bulbs. Over time, the heat from the lamps deforms the base enough to change resistance without losing contact. Thus, the bulbs continue to burn, but because of the changed resistance, the truck's computer thinks that one or more of the bulbs has burned out. Enter Wagner Long Life Bulbs. These lamps have glass feet to prevent them from deforming. If you replace all four tail light bulbs and two spare bulbs with these Wagner Long Life bulbs, chances are you will no longer have turn signal problems. That worked great for me. Problem solved.
