I have installed several Mag-Hytec pallets on various trucks that I have owned over the years. Love the quality and the ability to install a transmission temp sensor and drain the fluid without making a mess! I tow our trailer and I like having an extra fluid reservoir to keep the transmission cool. I bought this sump for my 18 Power Wagon and it was a little tricky to install (thankfully the truck is new) as I had to drop the exhaust to install the sump. I was surprised that it came with a gasket and not the reusable silicone gasket (?) that the old pots I used had. When reinstalling the exhaust pipe to the headers, the left bank bypass pipe was very close to the rear bottom of the new sump, there is a gap of about 1/8 inch between the sump and the exhaust pipe. I believe this is too close to the sump and will radiate heat into the transmission oil due to the higher sump temperature in the tube crossing area. The cross tube needs to be modified by bending to allow more clearance between the tube and the pan. Another option (not currently considering) is to grind down the raised ribs on the pan to create an extra gap, which is what I'd like to see.
