Works for my purpose. Children eat a lot in the car on the way to activities. It's perfect for storing food, containers, lids, cutlery, napkins, etc. so you don't have to put it on the seat next to you when you eat. I don't think you can eat from the tray as it isn't long enough and the child would have to sit closer to the front seat to use it as a tray. Plus, it's a plastic shell that clips to the seat in front of you, which you don't want to lean on too much. I would get it again. It comes in sets of two and I just bought a set for my sister in law.
