I've been looking for a 10 liter backpack for a long time. I live in the city and walk and use public transport everywhere and this is the perfect size to carry all my stuff. It also has plenty of external pockets and internal organization that makes it easy to find what I'm looking for without having to dig around. Outside pockets also prevent the main compartment from filling up quickly. I can stash all the little things I need quick access to in the outer pockets and leave the main compartment for bulkier things. The inner pockets can be used for valuables, while the inner and outer pockets on the back hold small documents. The backpack I received looks exactly like the photo. The back of the bag is insulated. I love that it has a fabric lining - it makes the bag twice as strong. Also, it doesn't have the plastic lining that peels off in pieces over time like many bags in this price range. I would call the material of this bag water repellent but I wouldn't trust it in heavy rain. I have a waterproof backpack cover that stows in one of the side pockets in case I get caught in a flood and I would highly recommend it to anyone concerned about water. The only aspect of the bag I was concerned about was the canvas shoulder straps, but they are really comfortable and easy to adjust. The only two things I would want in this bag are a large back pocket (for large sheets) and a place for keys in the main compartment.
