KITTYROO Original Carrying Sweatshirt Kangaroo Review

I would give this sweatshirt five stars if the pouch was deeper. As soon as I put my cat down he started to purr, but he's too big for the bag. And I don't have a big cat and he doesn't weigh much, maybe 10 pounds. I think it's more for a kitten or a very small cat.

Perfect for my cat Bear, which I stuffed into the (too small) pockets of regular sweatshirts. He loves it, especially the bag's soft fleece lining. Is that the highest quality fabric? No, but then it's not high fashion. It serves its purpose and is not worn outside of my apartment. Conclusion: Bear LOVES it.

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of this sweatshirt. My daughter was so excited to open it on Christmas morning only to find the elastic cord running across the top of the cat pouch had snapped. That means she couldn't tighten the bag to secure her cat inside. I was able to process the return and was given a replacement sweatshirt only to have the elastic snap into the EXACT SAME spot the very first time I wore it. So it wasn't an accident. I have no doubt about the softness, stretch and warmth of this Kangaroo Hoodie. My main issue was with the inner lining of the bag, which is a velcro strap that doesn't evenly adhere to the fabric of the bag or the sweatshirt itself. This seemed counterintuitive as a kitten or small puppy's paws would easily snag the Velcro at the top of the pouch. My little (7lb) Sphynx is obsessed with this hoodie. If I wear a different sweatshirt, it gets tangled. Sometimes she sits without me. I like it when she's always there. The fabric is a standard single ply batting I've seen in fabric stores. It's not super cheap, but it's not super high quality either. I'm medium height (as is my partner) so it fits but is very tight. The cuffs are tight and when I have to roll up my sleeves to wash my hands, they don't stretch much. Basically, this stuff is like the cheapest $5 blanket you can buy at the dollar store. It's so incredibly scratchy. The bag is insanely small. Anyone who actually says it works is using it on a kitten or physically keeping their cat in it because they can't support or hold a full sized cat.
