After reading the reviews I decided to try these headlights. I bought six packs and they arrived on time. At the suggestion of a previous reviewer, I connected a junction box and tested each lamp. everything worked fine. As an electrician, I had enough romex connectors to attach the romex cable to the junction box (these can be found at any hardware store). I prepared each junction box by installing a Romex connector and stripping the wires slightly above the fabricator. After cutting out a 6-1/8" round hole, all the lights were easy to install and looked great! I bought the 2700k which looks the same as the warm home glow of a standard incandescent but brighter. I also installed an LED dimmer which is a must for these lamps. I was so impressed with this product that I ordered twelve more 6" lights and six more 4" lights (for bay windows). Everything is installed and working great. My only suggestion for the manufacturer is to include a separate cut out pattern for the "Can" lamp manufacturers to include in their product. Having installed many can lights in the past, I always have them on hand to position and trace holes for hand cutting. You can also use a 6" hole saw (a 6-3/8" box cutter is too big for these lights). If you cut your own 6 inch template out of paper or thin cardstock, you can use the thumbtack to pre-position all of the lights in the room for their best look and function, revealing the ceiling joists. In general I am very satisfied with this product, price and quality. Will definitely be recommending them to friends and family! They even come with a five-year warranty.
