Works great and sturdy. I hear no sound. I install it once or twice a day intermittently and it does an excellent job of hydrating my indoor ferns. I either put it right next to it or place it neatly in the center of the plant. Not so large that moisture can penetrate neighboring furniture. That's exactly what I wanted. It needs to be connected to a network and would be even better if it was wireless, but you won't find that on smaller devices.
