Pretty but not essential

Attractive bag but only one side of the laptop compartment is padded leaving the outside exposed. I bought a case to make up for this but am disappointed as I was hoping to only purchase one item. That being said, the compartment is big enough for my 17.3" laptop with case, mouse pad, and charger, and it's nice and thin. Although it was a cotton canvas, the fabric appears to be synthetic. All in all it is functional. and stylish, but not super protective on its own.
