I had special requirements for a new backpack. I mainly use it when traveling and wanted to upgrade my tattered and battered Jansport. But what I really needed was a trolley strap. I carry heavy medical equipment so I needed padded shoulder straps, at least 2 compartments and a pannier. I wanted something more stylish than my Jansport as I'm traveling for work. After ordering (and returning) 6 other competitors this one is perfect. The fit is soft and fits comfortably with my medical device and has enough room to carry my other essentials. I love the hidden front pocket perfect for passport, money and phone. I also like the zippered side pockets. They can hold a water bottle or they can clip on for chargers, goggles, etc. I lost my glasses from the side pocket of my Jansport. It's larger and softer than most other backpacks I've looked at, but I needed the extra space. It's also nylon and ultra-light when empty. All in all I'm happy with it. I'll report back with an update after my upcoming travels and some use.
