Review on Speakman S 2251 Signature Anystream Adjustable by Louis Turley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just spend the money - it's worth it.

I had a basic Speakman in the 1990's. It was all brass, rock solid, simple in design and function, and was probably around $30 when I bought it. This thing would probably still work for me, but I threw it in the garage while remodeling the bathroom and settled on an expensive, very fancy multi-jet shower head from a company I won't mention. . When the supposedly indestructible shower head had to be replaced due to water leaking from the side seam (!), I looked around for my old speaker. Path. Believed to have accidentally donated to Goodwill. So I went to the internet and searched for a simple speaker. Plastic! Now they're all plastic. Then I saw this child and was amazed. Old school quality even if it's a new price. I'm as satisfied as can be after installing and using it. The overall design couldn't be cleaner, the chrome is thick and has a great shine, the handle moves smoothly and smoothly to move through the flow area. I like the fine spray for most washes, and the 'pour' setting is great for rinsing out my hair. No fancy bells and whistles here, just a good, reliable shower head that should last for many years. I think reviewers complaining about insufficient water pressure might be talking about low water volume, which is a different issue. The radiance this offers is pretty good for a low flow device. I live in California where every drop counts. (A nice little touch is that Speakman provides the pipe tape needed for installation, so don't buy it here like I did.)
