Not wall mounted

The phone itself is good but I can't hang it on the wall. With a new phone wall mount, I cannot slide the phone over the protruding mounting pins in the wall mount to mount the phone to the wall. Even when the phone is in a vertical position, the phone stand does not hold the handset. There are no "special protrusions" to hold the phone. I bought the phone to replace my Trimline RadioShack wall phone.
