Wahoo! That did it!

My husband has a 2005 Nissan Sentra and it has ALWAYS taken any amount of gas to fill up. The pump shut off thinking it was full and when I finally said enough was enough I tried to add some gas and it started spewing back (dangerous). We hooked up a device to read the codes for the light that kept coming in and gave us the code for the clogged vape canister. My husband is not a mechanic. He did a little research and found that someone had posted a step-by-step guide with pictures on how to replace one of them. When he first took mine out of the car, he didn't have a spare. He figured he could do his part and go to the local auto repair shop to get another one (came to find out, no, and had to buy it from the dealer for a decent coin and they were closed). So my goodness, I wanted to see if I could find it online and came across this one. So much for the fact that it was only available through the retailer (got it cheaper and sent it straight to your door in a few days). Looking at the new one we could see that the spool in the old one didn't want to move. that was the problem. He changed it, went to a gas station and tested it with gas injection for more than 2-5 seconds - voila! Saved a lot of money because you don't have a workshop for it!

Pros
  • Great value - lower cost OE feature
Cons
  • Everything is fine
