It's really good but some improvements could be made

It's really good. I've used motorized gimbals on phones and small cameras, but never on my A7rii. Seriously, that's a whole different level for everyday use. It is very powerful and has a lot of features. It even powers my Sony camera via a micro USB cable, which is pretty nice. Although I wish they had used USB-C. Balancing was fairly easy once you understood which sides to balance first. It only took me about a minute to even it out after using it twice. I have encountered some issues that result in 1 star being deducted. For some reason, the aluminum glide settings didn't feel smooth to me. It was very difficult to slide the pieces. I have a Wimberly gimbal (for my Superphone lenses) and this thing is about 10 years old and is so smooth every time I need to adjust it. The menu dial should also work. Why is there a button in the middle if you can't select anything with it. Mine came with white tape. I understand this is random, but white is the worst color because it cannot be cleaned after contamination. Luckily I already had the black string for grabbing tennis rackets. White must be taken out of the rotation. The biggest problem I had was the screw that tightened the lens mount rubbing on my lenses. I had to remove the lock screen and relocate the locking nut myself; this should be fixed during QA/Build.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
