Review on Highly Efficient Rechargeable Emergency JackonLux Multi-Function Equivalent - Boosted SEO by Jeff Young

Works great with most but not all lights.

I really like the idea of this lamp. It works exactly like a 60W (800 lumens) equivalent LED bulb until the power fails and can then provide the equivalent of 40W (600 lumens). A NOTICE! Be sure to order the desired color temperature. I accidentally ordered cool white and it didn't fit me at home. I always get a warm color because it looks more like a standard incandescent bulb. However, there are some problems. It doesn't work with most lights in my house for several reasons: 1> It doesn't work with multi-bulb fixtures or overhead lights that work together unless you replace ALL. The same applies to floor lamps that contain more than one light bulb. If you are replacing just one of multiple ceiling lights on the same circuit, it will not go out when you turn it off as it will recognize the other lights on the circuit and respond as if the power is off.2> This will not work. with any lamp with a remote control (Alexa, etc.), since the electronic switch loses power when it is switched off and cannot turn on the lamp. The same applies to the presence lighting with motion detection and dark lighting. These control circuits cannot turn on the light in the event of a power failure. 3> It does not work with a dimmer switch. like dimming when the lamp can detect an inactive circuit in the house up to the pole transformer. So it takes an element of trust that it will work when it needs to. Applications where this lamp is optimal are floor and table lamps, as well as small rooms with a single light fixture on the ceiling, such as a bedroom. B. small bathrooms or hallways. So you need to seriously think about where it will come in handy. I gifted it to a few friends because where I live in rural Maine, the power goes out for up to seven days (total) a year and it's really nice when the work light makes its way to essentials like candles, oil lamps and finds flashlights, etc.

Pros
  • HIGH BRIGHTNESS - The JackonLux emergency light has 850 lumens in 120VAC mode, 60W equivalent, produces 500 lumens of light when the DC model battery is discharged, 40W equivalent.
Cons
  • I don't remember
