Installation of railings on railings

I was looking for a gate with railings on railings that does not require drilling railings. I stumbled across it and decided it was my best bet. Our railings are OVER 5" in diameter so I bought the following strong velcro straps and they work great!: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072FNMGNX?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf Installation was pretty easy. It took about 45 minutes in total. I watched the installation video on Summers Infant's website under this product. I had no settings to make the gate work with our railings. If you notice the top is not as wide as the bottom. I had to buy some pieces of wood from Lowes to fit between the top of the railing and the posts. In fact, I used heavy-duty command rods for ALL railing attachments. If you use an adjective on the condition that it will ruin your wood finish. I know that from experience with previous goals. I gave 4 stars because there were two small dents on the gate. I need the gate now and don't have time to ask for a replacement. Also, I'm not a fan of this color as it clashes with our grey/dark wood. It would be great if it came in multiple colors. They definitely have an orange hue. All in all, it's a good goal and feels solid. A big plus is that they swing both ways and don't have a crossbar at the bottom (risk of tripping) like many gates.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
