Review on ๐Ÿพ Durable, Water Resistant, Scratch Proof Car Seat Covers for Pets - Petego Ultra Comfort by Jill Foster

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing fancy but does the job (sort of).

After reading the many rave 5-star reviews about the Revain, I thought this was definitely the way to go about my back seats from our 50-pound Jindo and all the dirt, grime, drool and the occasional To protect vomit she drags / makes in the car. Uh, not so much. I have a 2012 Acura TSX and this seat does not fit properly around the back seat. The straps under the tread itself are not attached to or wrapped around the seat in any way. The straps that wrap around the headrests are adjustable and easy to maneuver, but that's about it. It also doesn't cover the ends of the seats, leaving a couple of inches uncovered on either side. I was very disappointed with the fit, although the quality of the material seemed pretty strong and durable. My not-so-small pup tends to drool like crazy in the back seat which is the main reason we chose a seat protector. . The material seems a little water repellent but definitely NOT WATERPROOF. If you are looking for something that will not absorb liquids, this is NOT the product for you. She also sometimes decides to show us what she had for breakfast, especially when we have to navigate winding roads on long journeys. On her first ride, where the seat protector covered the seat a bit, she decided to do just that. Since the material is "somewhat" water resistant, we were able to quickly stop and clean most of it. **Two positives so far: It keeps my seats from throwing up and it WAS pretty easy to clean. clean with damp paper towels. **Two cons: Maybe it's because it doesn't fit, but also nothing to keep it in place (I don't know how to explain exactly, but imagine hanging a blanket over one wall/floor corner and then pull on it on the underside creating a kind of "tent" ) so if our pup moved a little the sheltered pup would slide off the edge of the seat and let him fly around in the back seat a little trying to stay on their feet. Plus, after cleaning it, it was so wet that we had to toss it in the trunk and let it dry a bit before reattaching it to the back seat. Contrary to some reviews, the product didn't have an odd smell and I'll see how it holds up in the washing machine. Overall I would recommend the protector for those with very small cars or I could just say you are better off trying a different protected seat. If my review helped you in any way, please let me know or click 'yes' below this review. Thank you! :)
