I really like this tripod having been using $20 Walmart units for a number of years. The chain roller setup is much better and the chains work in heavier conditions. I kinda miss shock cord poles, but with this one you don't have to worry about them melting or breaking. The eyelet and hook on it to keep the feet a predetermined distance apart didn't seem to work properly and one of the ears broke out of the tube (leg) on first use. However, I'm generally happy and just won't be using this particular feature. An eye sticking out of a leg doesn't actually hurt the leg. The grill is very pretty and I like the raised slat on the edge to keep the chicken thighs from rolling off. I think it was worth the money. I was hoping it would be a little more hard work than it is, but I love it.
