Durable and makes delicious food!

My friend has been using this grill for over 10 years and it still works. On one of our camping trips I got jealous and decided to buy one for myself instead of dealing with the horrible fire pits that most campgrounds have. This versatile and durable grill is vertically adjustable. It can hold a fully loaded brazier. It sets up quickly once you get used to it. The assembly takes about 1-2 minutes. The grill is also lightweight and folds compactly. We have prepared so many delicious dishes. Iโ€ฆ

Parts are missing and warped, first used

When I received it and put it back together there were 3 nuts missing so I had to find some as I was going camping in a few days and wanted to take them with me. me. It doesn't seem to be super durable either. The hook that connects the chain to the height adjustment bar needs to be closed after you've got everything together, or you'll drop your food on the fire. The grille also warped when we first used it. I love that the grate has an edge to ensure no food can be enjoyed. Overall I don'tโ€ฆ

Does its job well when camping and hiking

I love to cook over open fires on camping trips but I don't really want to climb all over the campfire where Cowboy cooks, buys cast iron Dutch Ovens, digs holes, Covering pots of coals etc. So this tripod is a great way to enjoy campfire cooking over a fire. It's pretty easy to set up and use, and packs away beautifully. Adjustable is a must and can be customized. I could give it 5 stars if it was heavier iron, but it's strong enough to hold food, pan or pot and get the job done. I've beenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Reliability

I bought this tripod for the cross hooks between the legs. They help stabilize it. The way the top comes together is a little crazy, but it allows the legs to fold tightly together for storage. It is easy to assemble and disassemble and takes up very little space. The complaint is that the chain and rust are very thin. The chain broke when the entire pot of food fell into the fire. The grille itself was deformed and bent from the heat. I love using a tripod for cooking over a fire, but I don'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home

The most pleasant thing about it is the convenience

I already had a similar grill and I liked it so much that I ordered one as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this brand and found that the grille, legs and design are even better than what I have now. The grate has a "lip" around the edge, which is a nice feature that prevents food from rolling off when you swing it over the fire. It doesn't seem like such a big deal, but when your hot dogs roll into the fire, you'll appreciate the lip design. The chain is such that you canโ€ฆ

I really like this tripod since I used $20.

I really like this tripod having been using $20 Walmart units for a number of years. The chain roller setup is much better and the chains work in heavier conditions. I kinda miss shock cord poles, but with this one you don't have to worry about them melting or breaking. The eyelet and hook on it to keep the feet a predetermined distance apart didn't seem to work properly and one of the ears broke out of the tube (leg) on first use. However, I'm generally happy and just won't be using thisโ€ฆ
