I think that thing tried to rip my thumb off. OK, seriously. Everything was fine at first, but after about 30 minutes the area around the thumb started to hurt. Enough to wake me up so I tried loosening the strap to give more room but then having enough wrist support didn't help and it still restricted blood flow in my thumb. I have big hands but I bought the L/XL version. It fits everywhere except the thumb and now that I look at other reviews this seems to be a common problem. I've included some photos of how snug it fit and that was after trying to loosen things up. high. I am writing this review an hour after removing my wrist brace and there are still red bruises around my thumb. Let's go back to the drawing board. It seems that now that I know what to look for, many braces have the same complaint. I saw an option that was 2XL but then worried the whole thing would be loosened just to solve the thumb hole problem.
