Bought to use over a vanity in our guest bathroom. It looks good. As for the other review stating it's off-centre, it might be, but how you install it is up to you. The lantern itself can rotate on the round base and then you can tighten the nut to fix it. The link post is *off-center*, so if you want the bar to be centered horizontally, set it up so the link post is at the 12 or 6 o'clock position. If you want it to be vertically centered, position the connecting post at the 3 or 9 o'clock position (or reverse both if you want it off-center). This is a bit confusing at first, but actually offers some versatility. A few caveats to note: It's not a very bright light. I wouldn't use it as a main vanity light in the master bathroom, for example, but I think it's a good idea as an accent light or, in our case, to illuminate the guest bathroom. Also note that it illuminates the room by reflecting light off the wall behind. So make sure your drywallers and painters are doing a good job on that particular spot or you will highlight all of its imperfections.
