Review on πŸ” 325ml Autoglym Glass Polish - Enhanced Visibility Formula for Optimum Shine by Jim Shirodkar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First "polished " glass.

I really like this product, it does what it says it does and does a great job of cleaning the windscreen and getting rid of stubborn water stains etc I really don't need much to compare this to this glass polish I've never had used. That being said, I'd like to take this opportunity to clarify a few things for some of you who are unfamiliar with glass polishing. In my experience, the term polish has always led me to conclude that it means product. protects your window or surface from minor scratches and defects. Rather, in my opinion, this product is more or less a "strong glass cleaner". My impression is that if you are looking for an aggressive glass polish you have to resort to cerium oxide, which is not to be confused with this product. This is a great product when used as an add-on to a 'regular' glass cleaner. Due to the cost of this product as well as the quantity you get, I highly recommend using it sparingly/when needed. My visibility has improved quite a bit. I would recommend using a window sealer like Rain-X or even a wax sealer after this product to get the best bang for your buck and extend the length/life of your freshly polished windows before reapplying. .This material has a strong odor. It's petroleum based and smells like Zippo lighter fluid, so fair warning, don't get it too close to your nose to sniff it! Finally, the following tips: The bottle suggests that this polish should only be used for cleaning windows. It doesn't indicate if you can use it with a buffer. I suppose you could, but considering this material doesn't feel very abrasive at all, I doubt it would be worth the time or the padding. Here's what I did. Step 1: Clean windows the old-fashioned way with a branded glass cleaner called Regular. : Apply a small amount of this product to a cheaper terry towel, there is no point in wasting microfiber. Rub it over the surface in a circular motion and wait a minute or two for it to settle/cloud. (It is up to you whether you want to use this product on all windows or just outside/inside etc). I used it exclusively for the windshield inside and outside. Step 3: Wipe off any remaining residue with a separate, cheaper terry towel. Now you are done. If you don't want to do what I did, skip to Step 4: Step 4: If desired, seal the windows with Rain-x or an auto sealant like Mother's FX or Meguiar's NXT/Ultimate Wax. , Just to name a few. Why not? we've come this far. This means your freshly polished windows are better protected from the elements for longer and you don't have to do this often as it can get expensive. Be safe and have fun!
