Review on 💡 Enhanced SmartTap CF18 LED Flasher Module by Diode Dynamics by Barton Perez

I bought this hoping it could be a little louder than the stock unit for my 2007 Subaru Outback Limited. Unfortunately it isn't. I was concerned that I couldn't hear the turn signals flashing while driving on the freeway. I found myself doing the "deaf old man's turn signal" more than I cared. You can set this device to flash only 2-6 times when changing lanes on the Autobahn with what is called a "tap" feature. It also gives you the option to flash the alarm in three different styles: strobe, variable, and default. I liked the look of the strobe feature, but was concerned about the possibility of premature failure with standard bulbs. LEDs might be the best way to go if you want to create a strobe style turn signal as I think they hold up better. I believe this device works with LEDs and won't give you a quick flash due to the lower voltage needed to light up the LEDs. It also has a feature that turns on the parking lights for 20 seconds when the car is locked or unlocked. If desired, it can be shortened to 10 seconds. This would be a huge help in the parking lot if you forgot where you parked your car (none of us do that lol). It's a bit pricey, but for me, and what I didn't want other drivers to wonder if I was really changing lanes on the Autobahn, it was worth every penny.
