This cute post was a great way to teach my cats not to use the side of the sofa or the fabric lounge chair in our lives. I've tried those corrugated boxes, but they end up using this post for spontaneous scratching. You actually searched for this post and used it regularly. This bar comes in a brown rectangular box and requires some assembly, but only requires the included L-hex key. The 4" diameter bar consists of two 11" sections. The base also comes in 2 sections, but the top fluffy fabric is glued to the top and acts like a loop, allowing the 8" x 16" to be folded into a 16" x 16" square. A pineapple sized head with no green stems/leaves at the top is the only thing I could think of for size comparison. I decided to put a small amount of catnip on the post and put double sided cat tape on the furniture to teach them how to scratch the post.
