Review on Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac: Wireless, Backlit, Compact Keyboard with USB-C Compatibility and Tactile Typing by Jagvir Singh ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

1. Connecting the cable does not affect the quality of the connection in any way (and solving the problem in 10 minutes) 2. It's not obvious why some fn keys are needed, although they can be reconfigured. Emoji? Speech recognition? Custom print screen? Seriously? 3. Page up/page/down/home/end are not marked anywhere. By the method of scientific poke, I found that they are on fn + arrows. But this is not written anywhere, I guessed only because it is so on my laptop (but it is signed there). 4. Only fn keys can be reconfigured. It would be convenient, for example, to reconfigure the duplicate key with brackets in Shift. But no.

Pros
  • 1. Beautiful 2. Thin and light 3. Pleasant key travel 4. Holds the battery for a long time, a week without charging for 8-9 hours a day, the flight is normal.
Cons
  • 1. The first 10 minutes after turning on the computer, the bluetooth connection with the keyboard is constantly reconnected (F1 flashes), it is impossible to work, one character is entered after ten. After 10 minutes everything is back to normal. Moreover, if these 10 minutes do not poke into the keyboard, the problem will not go away. I've tried turning it off completely - it doesn't work. If you turn off / turn on the keyboard - the stupidity starts again. Who is stupid, the keyboard, or bluetooth, or both, is incomprehensible, but wildly infuriates. After 10 minutes passes and everything is fine the whole working day. 2. The insert key for some reason does not obey the general "switch" f1-f12/fn. As a result, regardless of the setting (fn + esc to switch), for the classic paste combination "Shift + Insert" you have to press Shift + Fn + Insert. "It's inconvenient, you can't press it with one hand anymore 3. A very small left Shift for the sake of an absolutely unnecessary duplicate key with brackets. As a result, when typing with ten fingers, you need to have a large stretch of the little finger and ring finger in order to press some key combinations (for example, Shift + 2). 4. Extra letter e next to enter. Usually it is in the top row. With a ten-pointer set, it’s again unusual to hit Enter with the little finger, I’ll probably get used to it, but not yet. 4. I did not understand how the fn key to mute the microphone works. At least in Discord it is not supported. 5. Custom print screen prevents other screenshot programs from intercepting this key
