Ordered to store homemade vegetable broth after trying a grocery store-bought pack. The pint seemed the right size for a fresh broth or freezer to take away for next use. I allowed room for the liquid to expand as it froze and had no problems with spills. But the units I put in the bottom of my freezer had cracked lids. I think I lost three lids from about a dozen units in the freezer - all from the bottom tier. I think it was too cold, too much pressure. Besides that. They are alright. As I filled them with cool liquid, I found that I had to double-check that the lids were screwed all the way down and not assume that closing them the first time was enough to make sure everything was tight. Advice only.
