So here's the deal. I have an old Trac II pen. I'm having trouble finding blades. Every now and then, if I'm lucky, you can find a pack of ten matching blades at a local pharmacy, made by a company that may be private label. These ten packs cost about twelve dollars. As soon as I received them, I put one in the pen. Fits great. I compared this new one with the one from the pharmacy. (I can't compare it to a Gilette blade because I used it ten years ago and have never seen a Gilette brand Trac II blade for sale anywhere. I think it's an urban legend.) Anyway , these new blades are identical to the shop blades in every respect. So for the cost of about a dozen other blades, I only got 100 new blades. I hesitated because it seemed too good to be true. I have no idea what the problem is when people say the blades don't fit their hilt. But I decided the money saved was worth the risk. Good decision (Time flies.) I just shaved with a new one. Smooth, no burrs. It is washed off well by lightly tapping the edge of the sink. (Shaves a lot better than those boring, lightweight, cheap disposable blades.) I don't know how long a blade will last, but if it's over a tenth the life of another brand, I'm still ahead. hard business.
