Review on Power Up Your DIY Projects With Bostitch 3-Tool Air Compressor Combo Kit (BTFP3KIT) by William Belczyk

Junk product with extremely dangerous defects, onerous warranty process

First time using this machine, I started pressurizing and as it reached about 90-100 PSI, it started making a metallic rattling sound, as if something inside the machine was being thrown around (as opposed to the loud pressurizing sound that the compressor should be making). I switched it off and tried to inspect it from the outside but could not see any issues. I switched it on once more, this time with video in case I can get someone to diagnose the issue (see upload), and quickly switched it off when the compressor was clearly tearing itself to shreds and metal pieces were being flung through the top of the machine, see attached picture for the 'exit wound'.Insane that Bostitch doesn't check whether there are lose nuts, bolts, screws etc inside the compressor engine before shipping this out. My kids could have been hit by this, I could have gotten badly hurt. Absolutely unconscionable. To add insult to injury, Bostitch wants me to send this out to a certified 'repair shop' (good luck fixing this!) on my own expense. So I am out $50 on shipping, probably weeks u

Pros
  • The oil-free pump in the air compressor means that you don't need to worry about oil changes or maintenance, ensuring that your tools remain consistent and reliable
Cons
  • High levels of oil mist generated during use, posing health hazards to users
