Both the shampoo and conditioner have a more runny consistency than anything I've used before, but surprisingly they work great. I have wavy/curly normal/thick hair. My hair is pretty healthy because I shaved it and started again and haven't used sulfates etc since then, but I have frizz issues fairly regularly because I have curly hair. This shampoo and conditioner made my hair very smooth. I've used it for 4 shampoos over the course of about 2 weeks. It seems to have loosened up my waves a bit. I'm not sure how I feel about this because I love my curl pattern, but I also haven't used any products on my curls since I started using them. They smell of pure essential oils when you open them. As a simple blend of the listed essential oils. Surprisingly, when mixed with water, it gets a lot sweeter, bordering on perfume, but it's a really nice feeling in the shower. I don't like the smell but it doesn't bother me either and it doesn't stay on your hair very strongly. If you want your hair to smell like shampoo for a day or two, this isn't your jam. The shampoo foams well. It's not very foamy, more like a weak feces. If someone else uses the curly girls method, they're eligible for CGI, according to an online database.
