These are the only shoes I've ever owned that didn't require a "break-in period". They fit perfectly from day one and have been ever since. For a wide-legged (EEE) person, this is a rare occurrence. After wearing them EVERY DAY for a full year - at my job as a building maintenance technician and walking miles outside of work - they are still comfortable and intact. They are not torn or worn anywhere. The outsole is also holding up very well. They're water-resistant and look good enough to wear with your favorite outfit. I have been wearing this type of shoe for many years and have never had such a positive experience. I bought another pair when they are finally done.
