I use this stand outside on my porch to use with my laptop. The stand is easy to assemble, once assembled it is relatively stable. I find that the tablet wobbles a bit when I put my hands on the laptop. not enough to be a problem. A small correction needs to be made. The tray is attached to the stand in the middle. So when I recline in my chair outdoors, I can't get the tray as close to me as I'd like because the stand will bump against the chair and stop. It would be nice to have a stand similar to the trays in a hospital room, with a base that plays a role under the hospital bed and the tray above the bed. The stand comes with a pair of rubber bands to wrap around it and my laptop to make sure it works. stays in place. When I tried without the straps, the laptop could slip a bit given the slight angle, which I like. The thin strap held the laptop in place with minimal effort. The tray has a foam pad that fits inside the tray. The foam isn't that thick as it does a great job of keeping items in place when the stand is tilted. In general. I like this stand very much. I wish I had had something like this a long time ago. hope this helps you
