I tried it before giving it to my 4 year old niece and decided to return it. Pros: Small size is ideal for small children. Plastic and rubber make it durable and lightweight in case of a fall. Excellent color choice. Cons: Has a "bubble" effect when you look at them. The center and periphery are not evenly focused, so straight objects appear rounded. I feel like I have to squint my eyes to use it. When you take them off, it takes a second to get used to and it just hurts your eyes. The strap is also uncomfortable and cannot be adjusted. In general, the binoculars are not of very good quality. I would not give them to young children for fear it might damage their eyes and affect vision. My head aches from their attempts.
