Make sure the cord goes through the zippers in your bag before you leave the house. It is slightly larger than our previous TSA combination locks. I threw one of these in my wife's carry-on just in case, without even thinking that it might not fit through the zipper. Of course we had to check in our hand luggage later, as our connecting flight was on a smaller plane. We learned the hard way that the cable doesn't go through the zipper at the airline check-in counter. Otherwise they are good locks.
