I used clamps and screws with a puller to remove the pulley. It worked fine but when I tried to reattach the pulley I found it wasn't designed for the job. With a threaded cylinder, simply screw the screw in until the threads on the small end reach the bottom. I didn't have a nut the same size as the bolt to use as a lock nut so I preferred others and used a cup, bolt and washers to install the pulley.

I was very disappointed with this tool kit. There were no instructions in the kit or on the CTA tool website. It was incomplete, almost useless for removing or installing the water pump pulley. I had to rent another tool from my local auto parts store. I used a piece from the kit in combination with some rental material to remove it. When it came time to reinstall the pulley, I had to go back to the parts store. I bought an 8mm x 1.25 bolt and used the gasket from the kit along with the washers

The special nut for holding the pulley on the camshaft was missing. The kit includes a threaded bushing (no wrench flats) that can only be tightened with a pipe wrench or other tool. Because of this I was able to get this tool ready to use after removing the threaded bushing and adding an American standard 1/2" nut with 20 threads per inch in place of the threaded bushing. I bought this 'tool' because it was significantly cheaper and available sooner than the OTC kit recommended elsewhere (7483A). It has the necessary parts to grab the back of the water pump pulley, but lacks the H-piece to screw the bolt on from the front and actually remove the pulley from the camshaft.
