I used clamps and screws with a puller to remove the pulley. It worked fine but when I tried to reattach the pulley I found it wasn't designed for the job. With a threaded cylinder, simply screw the screw in until the threads on the small end reach the bottom. I didn't have a nut the same size as the bolt to use as a lock nut so I preferred others and used a cup, bolt and washers to install the pulley.
