Used to mount a 24" monitor that weighs 11.1lbs without the stand (so should be within 14.3lbs. It holds the monitor in place, but the gas spring is so weak that if it malfunctions, the monitor falls onto the desk almost immediately and the intermediate positions are unusable.Tried almost the entire range of the adjustment screw - can make it even weaker where it doesn't once stays in the top position but it feels as strong/firm as it gets Aside from the crappy gas spring, seems solid enough and the range of motion is as expected Would go back but (A) there's already a hole in the wall and it is very unlikely that another model will adjust the gap, and (B) until we install it and see how weak the spring is, it is improbable secretly that it is qualified as resold. Experience with other brands (roughly equivalent to usual) inexpensive desk mount designed for the same weight; I don't know if it's just luck with quality control in this price range or if it really is the worst model, but everyone says we plan to replace it.
