Before I write a review for this product, I want to say that I've been playing hockey for 20 years now. I know hockey sticks very well as I was the generation that went from wooden to solid composite sticks. So why these clubs? That means they can play floor hockey in your basement and shoot gravel outside. Because it's a flexible press blade, it can handle gravel without wearing the blade down to a fine point. The shafts must be flexible, like any hockey stick. If you've ever watched a hockey game or seen a player shoot, the sticks flex almost like a question mark to add power to the shot. The term "STARTER" is intended to get the child used to the curvature of the stick. What are these sticks for? They're not for competitive hockey. When your child is about to play in a league. Stay away from this product. Your kid will need much better equipment. Shots in my apartment, and if it can withstand a hit from me, it should be strong enough for your kid. The only reason I didn't remove a star is because the description is very general. According to them, you can use these sticks anywhere. Well you can't! Only buy if you want your child to be fooling around in your house or on the street, don't buy if it's a stick they will be using in a competitive league. Also the shipping was excellent, I received this product in 2 days
