I bought this for large needle files and a couple of large "handy" needle files and it works great for that. The bottom row of pockets is about 3-1/2" tall and the top row is 7" about 5-1/2" from the top flap if you need/can when they are rolled up. The canvas is ok. , not outstanding but I'm not worried about the files getting worn out. The firmware is kind of mediocre with cheap threads and that's the only reason for deducting a star. Those pockets sit right on top of each other. Think so remember that you might not be able to put anything at all in the short pockets, when you put larger/wide items in the top tall pockets. Wide pocket, I believe 2-1/2 inches.
