I actually bought this to use as a small cosmetic bag in my purse (deodorant, feminine hygiene products, hairbrush and ties). It fits all of these items, although it's a bit tight (the inside is soft, which is nice but limits space a bit). My bag is a large hobo style shoulder bag and fits in easily. I wanted something that I can take to the bathroom that isn't my huge, bulky bag and has everything organized and in one place. This does the job perfectly and I especially like the flat bottom design and the fact that it doesn't sag. It's quite soft, brown looks like the picture.
