I bought these shoes mainly for the garden and housework we do. I had canvas shoes and they got wet, lost grip and tore. It's the complete opposite. Advantages: - easy to clean! - great grip in wet conditions and dries quickly - breathable and great for summer outdoor projects - love the navy, it's dark but still decidedly blue and goes with everything! - At the end of the day my feet feel so comfortable where they would normally hurt when I stand on them - I love that I can wear the strap with and without it if I need more tension or think it might slip off could: I don't have it yet!
