What are the vents on both sides of the bag for? The whole purpose is to keep the food warm. How do you do it when hot air (or cold) comes out through those holes on each side? Also pictured is a handle on top of the heating pad, as if to hold multiple orders. It has a handle on the side and is basically just a pizza bag.

This bag is amazing. It's like God handcrafted a grocery delivery bag. I've used other bags that just fall apart after a few weeks. This bag is so durable and the material it's made of is high quality, the foil inside keeps the food hot forever. I'm not sure why this bag isn't immediately listed on Amazon, I get cheap products at first, I had to dig deep to find this bag, but thank god I found it.

I bought 3 of these bags to deliver large orders. Each pocket contains 7 very large pizzas. Unfortunately, the steam doesn't come out properly and the pizza boxes got wet within minutes. We even tried partially unzipping it to let off some extra steam. Same result. Pizza boxes wet. Definitely doesn't make a good impression. $95 down the drain!

Purchased to deliver 5 pizzas from New Haven, Connecticut to West Dover, Virginia by car - that's amazing! Keep everything warm for a 2.5-hour ride. Highly recommended. Can be used to carry other food items: trays, pots, cutlery, etc. Haven't tried carrying cold food in it yet. but if it keeps you warm, I'm sure it's better than nothing to keep the chill in.

Large, robust, suitable for multiple pans and hotplates. Ideal for transporting to events, parties or family reunions. I add a few foil wrapped bricks that have been heated in the oven and this further increases the time and temperature at which the food stays warm. Add an ice pack to carry cold items and it works just as well. A few pieces of cardboard placed between the layers will help transport multiple items. Easy to store away when not in use. Bought to transport a stack of pizza to a group of hungry backpackers camping in the woods in winter. It was a 30 minute drive from the pizzeria to the campground and about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. We live in the area which means it takes at least 20 minutes for food to be delivered to your home and the food is usually barely warm at best. The pizza is usually cold and needs to be reheated, which takes time and is nowhere near as good as eating it in a restaurant. Impressive, more than worth the price. Pizza bags at work are ok, but wear out quickly and are not covered with foil. Finally, the dispensing of cold or hot food affects the tip. Foil liner helps 6-8 boxes stay hot or moderately warm for 20-35 minutes (warm for 30-50 minutes) depending on box size, quantity and folding/turning method.
