I got this in 2014 and am still using the X3 version. I would suggest buying the X3 version for your laptop. I used mine with Alienware laptop, HP gaming laptop can't remember its name starts with 'o' I think and now my predator is Acer 300. With Acer on the pillow and Acer on the 80c, and me flip this pillow on it it falls, up to 69c. Remember mine is from 2014 so 6 years in use just imagine the new ones and what they can do with a brand new motor and fans. I will be buying a new one soon to replace the old one. I will keep my old one and add the I to my laptop bag to have with me when I need it. I will always recommend the X3 version to everyone. Advantages, light weight, good airflow, well made, quiet, does not consume much power on battery power. Cons, only 1 USB on fan (would like to see 2 and maybe USB 3) Buttons are easy to press so you can accidentally turn off the mat without knowing it. The power cord gets in the way when I use the mouse with my left hand.
