Review on 🔧 Metra 99-8220 Standard Black Installation Kit for 2007-2009 Toyota Tundra/Sequoia - Single/Double DIN - Efficient Solution by Adrian Summers

Suitable for large 2-din stereo systems. I bought a 7 inch Android device (carjoyingdotcom) and when it arrived I couldn't fit the Scosche overlay - the hole was too small, the stereo was too big. I tried to cut it but it looked awful. I contacted Scosche to see if they had fairing kits for oversized units - they said they didn't. After asking about the 7 inch units here and getting confirmation that they would fit, I took a chance and ordered them. My main unit is 178mm wide x 100mm high. I might even bet a little more. Needless to say, this Metra kit has exactly the hole size I needed. In fact, I had to cut (just snap off with pliers) pieces of the clip around the edge of the hole to make it fit. I threw away all the other parts that came with the kit. I'm glad I didn't have to build anything extra, which would probably cost more than the stereo itself. There's a loop in the top. Compared to other photos provided by the customer, I find them somehow distorted. Since I've already cut and trimmed the piece I don't think I can alter it. I can try heating it up and bending it to get straight lines. But even if it stays that way, it's MUCH better than what I had with the Scoshe kit.
