Such a cute and beautiful bag. I was a bit surprised that it is flat and has no folds to stretch. It is made of light to medium weight canvas and is quite large (15-1/2" wide x 14-1/4" high). And yes, the work really is that big, I totally agree. The straps are made of the same fabric and are not long enough to drape "comfortably" over the shoulder. So the style is a bit different than what I expected, but the design is very cute and looks like a sturdy bag. I can use it as a large tote, but it probably won't work well as a tote bag, which was my original intention. I'm keeping it anyway because it's too cute! I haven't seen washing instructions but it can probably be washed in cold water and possibly line dried.
