Okay so after a few months of winter cycling I have to admit that these gloves are definitely warmer and more comfortable to wear than anything else I've found in 50+ years of wandering search . I've also found that earmuffs help keep your fingertips warm, but that goes with the old adage: if you've got cold feet, wear a hat! The Wilderness Medicine Newsletter says heat loss through the head can be as much as 50% with moderate exertion, and when I ride my bike I notice that the headphones complement my hat, as indicated by my fingertips. These gloves definitely let me see an improvement so I have to give them a 5 star rating. Now if only Well Lamont would use the thicker Thinsulate in a slightly bulkier design, this would be a real hit.
