I've had dry skin my whole life and I use creams and oils on my face ten times a day, but I don't last long. I'll be dehydrated soon. I often use it as a night cream. I'm blonde and very light blonde so you know I'm dry. I don't produce a lot of oils and I don't sweat. I have to be very hot to sweat. I found out about petroleum jelly on their faces from black people I saw at church who had the fair skin, and I asked them. They said I've worked with petroleum jelly at night all my life. But petroleum jelly is not enough. I use facial serums that my 65 year old skin needs. I've been using Merle Norman and Signature Club A products for many years, but since money is tight I improvise. I love skin care products and use them when I feel like I need them, but that helps too. It has no nutrients so I have to add whey as well. I often wear it over skin creams. I like the oily feel when I apply makeup and I tend to use clay colors rather than wet ones. Especially around the eyes I use a bluish paste concealer to disguise blackness and then apply makeup on top. When the petroleum jelly soaks in, I look like my real skin color. Once the petroleum jelly has soaked in, the entire eyeshadow will adhere to the skin and look natural. The idea is to erase everything and color my skin however I want. Or just use concealer with blush. It rubs in so well and dries or soaks in and voila! Perfect!
